105 ILCS 5/10-22.8 from Ch. 122, par. 10-22.8
Amends the School Code to provide for a school board's
sale of any personal property belonging to the school
district that is available through an arrangement under which
the personal property may be leased by the district from the
purchaser. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by changing Section
2 10-22.8.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing
6 Section 10-22.8 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/10-22.8) (from Ch. 122, par. 10-22.8)
8 Sec. 10-22.8. Sale of personal property.
9 To sell at public or private sale any personal property
10 belonging to the school district, and either not needed for
11 school purposes or available through an arrangement under
12 which such personal property may be leased by the district
13 from the purchaser.

15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
