Amends the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act.
Provides that if the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District
enters into an agreement with any drainage district allowing
the drainage district's ditches to empty into the facilities
of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, the
Metropolitan Water Reclamation District shall maintain the
drainage district's ditches.

1 AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Water Reclamation
2 District Act by adding Section 25a.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District
6 Act is amended by adding Section 25a as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 2605/25a new)
8 Sec. 25a. Agreement with drainage district; maintain
9 ditches. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, if,
10 under Section 4-27 of the Illinois Drainage Code, the
11 Metropolitan Water Reclamation District enters into an
12 agreement with any drainage district allowing the drainage
13 district's ditches to empty into the facilities of the
14 Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, the Metropolitan
15 Water Reclamation District shall maintain the drainage
16 district's ditches.
