Appropriates $500,000 to the Department of Commerce and
Community Affairs for fiscal year 1998 for a grant to
Evanston for rehabilitation of a railroad viaduct. Effective
immediately.

1 AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of
2 Commerce and Community Affairs.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. "An Act regarding appropriations", Public Act
6 90-0010, approved June 11, 1997, as amended by Public Act
7 90-0550, is amended by adding Section 129 to Article 78 as
8 follows:
9 (P.A. 90-0010, Art. 78, Sec. 129 new)
10 Sec. 129. The sum of $500,000, or as much of that amount
11 as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of
12 Commerce and Community Affairs for a grant to the city of
13 Evanston for the rehabilitation of the railroad viaduct at
14 Central Street and Greenbay Road.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
