LRB9009771NTsb LRB9009771NTsb 1 AN ACT to amend the Medical Practice Act of 1987 by 2 changing Section 10. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended 6 by changing Section 10 as follows: 7 (225 ILCS 60/10) (from Ch. 111, par. 4400-10) 8 Sec. 10. Making rules; effectuating policy. The 9 Department shall: 10 (A) Make rules for establishing reasonable minimum 11 standards of educational requirements to be observed by 12 medical, osteopathic and chiropractic colleges; 13 (B) Effectuate the policy of the State of Illinois that 14 the quality of medical training is an appropriate concern in 15 the recruiting, licensing, credentialing and participation in 16 residency programs of physicians. However, it is 17 inappropriate to discriminate against any physician because 18 of national origin or geographic location of medical 19 education; 20 (C) Formulate rules and regulations required for the 21 administration of this Act. 22 (Source: P.A. 86-573.)
