The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is 6 amended by changing Section 114-2 as follows: 7 (725 ILCS 5/114-2) (from Ch. 38, par. 114-2) 8 Sec. 114-2. Motion for a bill of particulars. 9 (a) A written motion for a bill of particulars shall be 10 filed before or within a reasonable time after arraignment 11 and shall specify the particulars of the offense necessary to 12 enable the defendant to prepare his or her defense. 13 (b) A bill of particulars may be amended at any time 14 before trial subject to such conditions as justice may 15 require. 16 (Source: Laws 1963, p. 2836.)
