1 AN ACT to amend the Criminal Code of 1961 by changing
2 Section 11-16.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by
6 changing Section 11-16 as follows:
7 (720 ILCS 5/11-16) (from Ch. 38, par. 11-16)
8 Sec. 11-16. Pandering.
9 (a) A Any person who performs any of the following acts
10 for any money, property, token, object, or article or
11 anything of value commits pandering:
12 (1) Compels a person to become a prostitute; or
13 (2) Arranges or offers to arrange a situation in
14 which a person may practice prostitution.
15 (b) Sentence.
16 Pandering by compulsion is a Class 4 felony. Pandering
17 other than by compulsion is a Class 4 felony.
