Amends the Cannabis Control Act. Makes a stylistic
change in Section relating to delivering cannabis to a person
under 18 years of age who is at least 3 years younger than
the defendant.

1 AN ACT to amend the Cannabis Control Act by changing
2 Section 7.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Cannabis Control Act is amended by
6 changing Section 7 as follows:
7 (720 ILCS 550/7) (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 707)
8 Sec. 7. (a) Any person who is at least 18 years of age
9 who violates Section 5 of this Act by delivering cannabis to
10 a person under 18 years of age who is at least 3 years his or
11 her junior may be sentenced to imprisonment for a term up to
12 twice the maximum term otherwise authorized by Section 5.
13 (b) Any person under 18 years of age who violates
14 Section 4 or 5 of this Act may be treated by the court in
15 accordance with the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.
