1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 by
2 changing Section 15.4.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 is
6 amended by changing Section 15.4 as follows:
7 (230 ILCS 5/15.4) (from Ch. 8, par. 37-15.4)
8 Sec. 15.4. Labor organization or association. The Board
9 shall take disciplinary action authorized by subsection (d)
10 of Section 9 of this Act or impose a civil penalty authorized
11 by subsection (1) of Section 9 of this Act against any
12 licensee which requires, as a condition precedent to
13 employment, membership in any labor organization or
14 association. Nothing in this Section shall prohibit an
15 agreement between a labor organization or association and any
16 such licensee which requires that, once employed, an employee
17 be a member of the labor organization or association.
