      20 ILCS 1705/31b new
          Amends the Mental Health and  Developmental  Disabilities
      Administrative   Act.    Requires  the  Department  of  Human
      Services  to  collect  and   maintain   certain   information
      concerning   individuals   with   developmental  disabilities
      waiting for  community-based  services.   Provides  that  the
      Department  shall  make  the  information  available to other
      agencies serving persons with developmental disabilities.

 1        AN ACT  to amend  the  Mental  Health  and  Developmental
 2    Disabilities Administrative Act by adding Section 31b.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The   Mental   Health   and   Developmental
 6    Disabilities  Administrative Act is amended by adding Section
 7    31b as follows:
 8        (20 ILCS 1705/31b new)
 9        Sec.  31b.  Individuals   waiting   for   community-based
10    services.    The   Department   shall  collect  and  maintain
11    information on the number of individuals  with  developmental
12    disabilities   waiting  for  community-based  services.   The
13    information  may  include,  but  is  not  limited   to,   the
14    following:
15             (1)  The    number    of    individuals   requesting
16        community-based residential services  such  as  Community
17        Integrated  Living  Arrangements,  supported  apartments,
18        supported    living,    and    other   community   living
19        arrangements.
20             (2)  The number of individuals  requesting  services
21        from  day  and  vocational  programs such as day activity
22        programs,  adult  day   care,   developmental   training,
23        sheltered workshops, supported employment, job placement,
24        and other day programs.
25             (3)  The  number  of  individuals  requesting family
26        support  services,  respite  care,  personal   assistance
27        services,  case  management  services, early intervention
28        services, and other services not  included  in  paragraph
29        (2).
30             (4)  The ages of the individuals requesting services
31        under paragraphs (1), (2), and (3).

 1             (5)  The  ages  of  the  parents  of the individuals
 2        requesting services under paragraphs (1), (2), and (3).
 3             (6)  The  Representative  Districts  in  which   the
 4        individuals requesting services live.
 5    The  information  shall  be updated annually.  The Department
 6    shall, on request, make the information  available  to  other
 7    agencies serving persons with developmental disabilities.
