Amends the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act.
Changes the sunset date of certain provisions of that Act
from January 1, 2000 to January 1, 2004. Effective
immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft
2 Prevention Act by changing Section 12.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention
6 Act is amended by changing Section 12 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 4005/12)
8 Sec. 12. Sections 1 through 9 and Section 11 are
9 repealed January 1, 2004 2000.

11 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
12 becoming law.
