1 AN ACT to amend the Airport Authorities Act by changing
2 Section 2a.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Airport Authorities Act is amended by
6 changing Section 2a.1 as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 5/2a.1) (from Ch. 15 1/2, par. 68.2a1)
8 Sec. 2a.1 Petition-Setting forth tax rate.
9 The petition may, in addition to the matters required to
10 be set forth in Section 2.1, also set forth a tax rate, not
11 to exceed the rate specified in Section 13, as the maximum
12 tax rate for the proposed Authority. In such case, the such
13 proposed maximum tax rate shall be included in the
14 proposition submitted as provided in Section 2.3, and, in the
15 event the Authority is established, the aggregate amount of
16 its taxes for any one year, exclusive of the amount levied
17 for bonded indebtedness or interest thereon, shall not exceed
18 such maximum tax rate, unless an increase in such maximum
19 rate is authorized by vote of the electors within the
20 Authority as provided in Section 13.1.
