20 ILCS 505/17a-13 new
Amends the Children and Family Services Act. Requires
the Department of Children and Family Services to develop
protocol for child sexual abuse treatment and to evaluate
cases of child sexual abuse based on that protocol. Provides
that the Bureau of Clinical Services shall have
responsibility for the development and evaluation of the
protocol. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Children and Family Services Act by
2 adding Section 17a-13.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is
6 amended by adding Section 17a-13 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 505/17a-13 new)
8 Sec. 17a-13. Child sexual abuse treatment. The
9 Department shall develop a protocol for child sexual abuse
10 treatment and shall evaluate cases of child sexual abuse
11 based on that protocol. The Bureau of Clinical Services
12 shall have responsibility for the development and evaluation
13 of the child sexual abuse treatment protocol.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
