1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Westchester, Illinois Police Department has
3 a new officer dedicated to taking a bite out of crime; and
4 WHEREAS, J. Michael O'Hagan, Sr. will team up with the
5 new officer, Horand Von Meerblick, and start showing him the
6 ropes, from narcotics detection to tracking suspects, from
7 locating hidden or missing persons to being an example of
8 fine law enforcement to the community; and
9 WHEREAS, Horand Von Meerblick, Badge #123 1/2, born on
10 December 23, 1995, is definitely the youngest member of the
11 force; and
12 WHEREAS, On September 29, 1998, Horand Von Meerblick
13 joined the Westchester Police Department; as the official
14 police dog for the force, this regal German Shepard will show
15 loyalty to his occupation, his partner, and the community;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
19 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we congratulate Horand Von
20 Meerblick and the Westchester Police Department on this
21 team-up; together they will protect their community into the
22 twenty-first century; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Horand Von Meerblick and the Westchester Police
25 Department, on behalf of Representative Durkin, Senator
26 Walsh, and all the members of the General Assembly.
