1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are
3 pleased to celebrate the 80th birthday of Mildred Pearl
4 Rochkes; and
5 WHEREAS, Mildred Rochkes was born on March 6, 1917 in
6 Chicago Heights, IL; her proud parents were Joseph C. and May
7 Rose Kotal; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Rochkes met her husband at the Walgreens
9 where he worked, and where she went to eat her lunch at the
10 soda counter; four years after getting acquainted they were
11 married at St. Rita's Church on April 26, 1942; and
12 WHEREAS, Mildred Rochkes and her husband opened Rochkes
13 Medical Arts Pharmacy in 1948; and
14 WHEREAS, Mildred Rochkes and her husband are the proud
15 parents of Judi Rochkes, a licensed Pharmacy Technician; Judi
16 is married to Craig Miller, who holds a Doctorate in
17 Electrical Engineering; Judi and Craig have a daughter,
18 Christine, who is a graduate of the University of Illinois
19 and is currently an International Marketing Analyst; and
20 WHEREAS, Mildred currently attends Nativity BVM Church
21 and St. Rita's Church; and
22 WHEREAS, Mildred enjoys sports, dining out and dancing,
23 and the theatre; and
24 WHEREAS, Mildred's philosophy is to always keep a smile
25 on her face and to try to do good for everyone; therefore, be
26 it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
29 celebrate the 80th birthday of Mildred Rochkes, and wish her
30 continued happiness; and be it further

2 presented to Mildred Rochkes.
