1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Future Farmers of America is a high school
3 organization dedicated to teaching young people about
4 agriculture and the advantages of farming as a career choice
5 for their futures; and
6 WHEREAS, Hunt Lacey, a high school student from Nokomis,
7 Illinois is serving as President of the Future Farmers of
8 America for the State of Illinois; and
9 WHEREAS, Hunt Lacey is the son of Dr. Robert and Ruth
10 Anne Lacey; Hunt has played football while in high school,
11 been a member of the 4-H program, and been a part of Who's
12 Who in American High Schools; and
13 WHEREAS, Hunt Lacey has served as his local F.F.A. in
14 many roles at different times; among them are Chapter
15 Secretary, Vice President, Section 19 Reporter, and
16 President; Hunt has made diversified livestock production and
17 equine science his supervised agricultural experience
18 programs; Hunt has participated in the Washington Leadership
19 Conference, Made For Excellence, and participated in various
20 programs to enrich his future career, including land use,
21 agricultural business management, and public speaking;
22 therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
25 honor Hunt Lacey for serving as the 1996-1997 Illinois Future
26 Farmers of America President; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Hunt Lacey.
