1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Students in Illinois schools receive many honors
3 for academic achievement; one such honor is to be named an
4 All-American Scholar; and
5 WHEREAS, Oscar Tanner, a student from Chicago, Illinois
6 has been selected to be an All-American Scholar; and
7 WHEREAS, Oscar Tanner received his honor based upon the
8 recommendation of his school guidance counselor, Ms. Joseph;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, Ms. Joseph considers Oscar Tanner to be one of
11 the school's top students, citing his academic record, his
12 hard work, and his commitment to achieving the best; and
13 WHEREAS, Being selected as an All-American Scholar is an
14 opportunity to excel in future endeavors, ranging from
15 college scholarships to career opportunities; therefore, be
16 it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 commend Oscar Tanner of Chicago, Illinois in being selected
20 as an All-American Scholar; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Oscar Tanner.
