90_HR0071 LRB9005409CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the 3 Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of 4 Eagle Scout; and 5 WHEREAS, Paul Wayne Judd of Boy Scout Troop 35, in 6 Justice, Illinois, will receive the Eagle Scout Award at a 7 Court of Honor to be held on April 19, 1997; and 8 WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young 9 man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a 10 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in 11 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and 12 WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Paul Wayne Judd joins 13 an elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts 14 among its members an extraordinary number of this nation's 15 great leaders in business, government, education, and other 16 sectors of society; and 17 WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout 18 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud 19 family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be 20 it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 22 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 23 join his family and friends in congratulating Paul Wayne Judd 24 upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and commend 25 him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence that is the 26 hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 28 presented to Eagle Scout Paul Wayne Judd as an expression of 29 our respect and esteem.
