1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Illinois Association of Community Care
3 Program Homecare Providers is honoring the Outstanding
4 Homemakers of the Year; and
5 WHEREAS, The Homemaker of the Year Awards recognize the
6 outstanding efforts of five of the ten thousand homemakers
7 employed by the Homecare Providers of the Illinois Department
8 on Aging's Community Care Program; and
9 WHEREAS, The homemakers provide in-home services to over
10 thirty-three thousand senior citizens throughout the State of
11 Illinois; these services assist the seniors with day-to-day
12 tasks, enabling seniors to remain in their own homes and
13 preventing or delaying institutionalization; and
14 WHEREAS, The criteria for the award is based on years of
15 service, dependability, attendance, flexibility, and
16 performance while handling difficult circumstances; and
17 WHEREAS, The homemakers to be honored this year are:
18 Helen Coburn from the Shawnee Development Council, Inc. in
19 Karnak; Milagros Lopez from Casa Central in Chicago; Bok Duk
20 Lee from the Korean American Senior Center in Chicago; Tammy
21 Carder from the Blessing Home Care in Quincy; and Susie C.
22 Graham from the Dorothy L. Sims Registry in Evergreen Park;
23 therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
26 join in honoring Helen Coburn, Milagros Lopez, Bok Duk Lee,
27 Tammy Carder, and Susie C. Graham and applaud their
28 dedication and commitment to the well-being of our senior
29 citizens; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
31 presented to Helen Coburn, Milagros Lopez, Bok Duk Lee, Tammy
