90_HR0118 LRB9005592CBcbA 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the House were saddened to learn 3 of the death of John F. Winters of Mokena, tollway collector 4 at the 163rd Street toll plaza on the Tri-State Tollway, on 5 Thursday, April 10, 1997; and 6 WHEREAS, Mr. Winters was born and raised on Chicago's 7 South Side, the son of the late Nathaniel and Margaret 8 Schofield Winters; and 9 WHEREAS, John Winters was a former vice president of a 10 branch of the Preston Trucking Company; he then worked for 11 the Chippewa Trucking Company and later owned a Dunkin' 12 Donuts Shop; and 13 WHEREAS, Mr. Winters had worked for the tollway authority 14 for four years and was greatly admired by his fellow workers; 15 his warm and caring nature will be greatly missed by all; and 16 WHEREAS, Mr. Winters' passing will be deeply felt by his 17 family and friends, especially his wife, Angeline; his 18 daughters, Carol Bolls and Jeanne Leitl; his sons, John Jr. 19 and Michael; his sons-in-law, Scott Bolls and Jim Leitl; his 20 daughter-in-law, Tammy; his grandchildren, Jonathan, David, 21 Carolyn, Michelle, Nathaniel, Amanda, and Morgan; and his 22 great-grandson, Zachary; therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 24 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 25 note with sorrow and regret the death of John F. Winters and 26 extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and 27 be it further 28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 29 presented to his widow, Adeline Winters.
