1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Thornridge High School's band program, led
3 by Director David Eanes, has compiled an outstanding roster
4 of awards received this year; and
5 WHEREAS, The musicians have dedicated many hours of
6 rehearsing and drilling to make their bands among the most
7 honored and respected in the State of Illinois; and
8 WHEREAS, Their polished performances demonstrate their
9 commitment to hard work, excellence, and discipline; and
10 WHEREAS, The Thornridge High School band program has made
11 its community proud by receiving a superior rating from the
12 Illinois High School Association for the last six years and
13 has won numerous awards this year from the Western Illinois
14 University International Jazz Festival; the American Festival
15 in Orlando, Florida; and the Chicago Area Jazz Festival; and
16 WHEREAS, The achievement of excellence by the Thornridge
17 High School band program has been gained through the
18 cooperative and diligent efforts of all of its members as
19 well as their director, parents, and teachers; therefore, be
20 it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
23 congratulate and commend the Thornridge High School band
24 program on its outstanding accomplishments and express our
25 pride in the honors awarded the various bands in the program;
26 and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
28 presented to the principal of Thornridge High School and Band
29 Director David Eanes.
