1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mike Quigley
6 of rural St. Anne, president of the Will-Grundy Building
7 Trades Council, has been honored by the United Way of Will
8 County for his outstanding community service; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Quigley is also the business representative
10 of Operating Engineers Local 150 and a member of the Kankakee
11 County Board; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Quigley received the AFL-CIO United Way
13 Community Service Award at the annual dinner of the Central
14 Trades Council; and
15 WHEREAS, He was instrumental in coordinating the Daybreak
16 Shelter for the homeless in Joliet, the Little League
17 baseball fields at the Guardian Angel Home in Joliet, and the
18 reconstruction of the flowing well in Joliet's Pilcher Park;
19 and
20 WHEREAS, Mike Quigley is one of the Labor Division chair
21 persons for the fund drive and volunteers for the annual
22 Will-Grundy Building Trades Golf Outing which benefits the
23 United Way; and
24 WHEREAS, Mike Quigley's devotion to principle and his
25 enthusiastic support of his community have earned him the
26 respect of all who have the privilege of knowing him;
27 therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
30 congratulate Mike Quigley on receiving the United Way

1 Community Service Award and applaud his outstanding service
2 to his community; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to him as an expression of our respect and esteem.
