1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The people of Homewood-Flossmoor now have the
3 new State Men's Gymnastics champions to add to their towns'
4 history; and
5 WHEREAS, The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings brought home the
6 championship after defeating their rivals, Lincoln-Way, at
7 Schaumburg High School; and
8 WHEREAS, The Vikings are the first team from the South
9 Suburbs to win a State title; the Vikings won the floor
10 competition, beating Lincoln-Way on the high bar, pommel
11 horse, parallel bars, and the vault; and
12 WHEREAS, Homewood-Flossmoor's Vikings are Derek Hartmann,
13 Anthony Cirullo, Peter Kallend, Ryan Schroll, Carlos Ramos,
14 Joseph Tse, Barrie Buckner, John Chambers, and Michael Braun;
15 they are led by Coach Mike Watman; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18 salute the men of the Homewood-Flossmoor Men's Gymnastics
19 Team, the Vikings, for bringing the State title to their
20 hometowns; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Homewood-Flossmoor High School, to Coach Mike
23 Watman, and to each of the members of the Vikings.
