1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor Betty Williams on her
4 retirement as Senior Vice President of Metropolitan Family
5 Services; and
6 WHEREAS, Betty Williams has demonstrated her commitment
7 to families and clients served by Metropolitan Family
8 Services through her years of service as Director of Social
9 Policy and more recently as Senior Vice President; and
10 WHEREAS, Betty Williams worked to create family-friendly
11 policies by helping initiate the Illinois Family Policy
12 Council, and serving as Chair of the Council; and
13 WHEREAS, Betty Williams worked to establish a future
14 vision for strong and self-sufficient families through her
15 years of dedicated efforts as a Board Member and past
16 President of the Illinois Association of Family Service
17 Agencies; and
18 WHEREAS, Betty Williams has exemplified the finest ethics
19 and values of human service practice and ably and honorably
20 served her agency, her community, and the families of
21 Illinois; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
24 honor Betty Williams on setting an example of a hard working
25 individual, and for showing us what leadership is all about;
26 and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Betty Williams.
