90_HR0293 LRB9007915KBkb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sara 4 Elizabeth Dailey, of Chicago, Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, Sara Dailey was born in Hustonville, Kentucky, 6 the daughter of Ray and Agnes Riffe; she attended school at 7 Lincoln and Bate High School; she received her A.B. from 8 Kentucky State University; and 9 WHEREAS, Sara Dailey was a retired educator with the 10 Chicago Public Schools, where she taught for thirty-five 11 years; Sara served as a teacher in the Drake, Mollison, and 12 McCosh Elementary schools; Sara was an active member of 13 Blackwell Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, where she worked with 14 the Evangelic Choir, the Missionary Society, and the Lay 15 Council; Sara was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., 16 Sorority; and 17 WHEREAS, Sara Elizabeth Dailey is survived by her two 18 sons and daughters-in-law, Theodore and Cynthia Dailey, and 19 Anthony and Debra Dailey; she is survived by her sister, 20 Catherine R. Stephens; three grandsons, Jeffrey, Justin, and 21 Andrew Dailey; her aunt, Lucille Lowe; her nephew and his 22 wife; three first cousins, and many other friends and 23 relatives; she was preceded in death by her brother, June C. 24 Riffe; therefore, be it 25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 26 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 27 mourn, along with her many friends and family members, the 28 death of Sara Elizabeth Dailey; and be it further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to the family of Sara Dailey.
