90_HR0295 LRB9008440CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the 3 Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of 4 Eagle Scout; and 5 WHEREAS, Charles Marshall Casey of Boy Scout Troop 198, 6 in Chicago, Illinois, will receive the Eagle Scout Award at a 7 Court of Honor to be held on January 11, 1998, at Sixth Grace 8 Presbyterian Church; and 9 WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young 10 man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a 11 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in 12 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and 13 WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Charles Casey joins 14 an elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts 15 among its members an extraordinary number of this nation's 16 great leaders in business, government, education, and other 17 sectors of society; and 18 WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout 19 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud 20 family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be 21 it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 23 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 24 join his family and friends in congratulating Charles 25 Marshall Casey on attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout 26 and commend him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence 27 that is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further 28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 29 presented to Eagle Scout Charles Marshall Casey as an 30 expression of our respect and esteem.
