1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of This Body are saddened to learn
3 of the death of Ms. Glenda Neely of Chicago, Illinois, on
4 December 16, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Glenda Neely was born in Chicago, Illinois, on
6 August 15, 1953; she was the daughter of John and Luemetra
7 Neely; Glenda graduated from William Harper High School in
8 Chicago and received an Associate in Arts Degree from Robert
9 Morris College; and
10 WHEREAS, Glenda was employed at the district office of
11 Illinois State Representative Charles Morrow III, from the
12 26th District, from October 1996 to July 1997; Glenda then
13 moved on to work with Cook County, in the office of Aurelia
14 Pucinsky; and
15 WHEREAS, Glenda's supervisor, co-workers, staff,
16 constituents, and volunteers at Representative Morrow's
17 office all enjoyed working with her; and
18 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
19 and friends, especially her son, Tavares Neely; her father,
20 John Sr.; her three brothers, John Jr., Draylon, and Anthony;
21 and her sister, Dermarel; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, That we
24 note with sorrow the death of Ms. Glenda Neely of Chicago,
25 Illinois, and extend our sincere condolences to her family
26 and friends; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
28 presented to the family of Ms. Glenda Neely, and be posted on
29 the "Wall of Memory" in the District Office in her honor.
