1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Clarence "Whitey" Precin of Tinley Park are celebrating the
8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Whitey and Suzanne Precin were married at City
10 Hall on February 19, 1948 and later renewed their vows at St.
11 Albert the Great Church; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Susan, Gary,
13 Dawn, Denise, Scott, and Robert; the proud grandparents of
14 Gina Marie, Paul, Marc, Justin, Holly, Jeff, Grant, Matthew,
15 Ryan, Brandon, Erin, and Michael Scott; and a great-grandson,
16 Michael Sean; and
17 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
18 highest plateaus when a couple such as Whitey and Suzanne
19 celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary; and
20 WHEREAS, They stand as examples of the best of our
21 society, and their love and devotion to each other and to
22 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard
23 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's
24 world; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
27 congratulate Whitey and Suzanne Precin on the occasion of
28 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
29 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
30 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
31 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it

3 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
