90_HR0349 LRB9011718KBkbA 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mr. 4 Anthony E. Lockhart of Chicago, Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, Anthony Lockhart was born in Chicago, Illinois 6 on August 18, 1957 to Mrs. Lois (Lockhart) Johnson and Mr. 7 Ben E. Lockhart; and 8 WHEREAS, Anthony believed in his relationship with God; 9 he would spend many hours a day meditating and studying the 10 word of God; and 11 WHEREAS, Anthony received his education in the Chicago 12 Public Schools; he was an active part of the Boy Scouts of 13 America; he graduated from Dunbar High School with honors; 14 Anthony took a job as a United States Postal Worker, where he 15 remained for fourteen years; and 16 WHEREAS, After graduating with honors from the Chicago 17 Fire Academy in 1989, Anthony realized his dream of serving 18 the City of Chicago as one of its firefighters; and 19 WHEREAS, Anthony Lockhart served his job with pride; in 20 his spare time he enjoyed long range cycling and fishing; 21 Anthony Lockhart is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lois 22 Johnson; his sister, Sheila G. Lockhart; his two brothers, 23 Mark W. Lockhart and Kent Johnson; his sister-in-law, 24 Veronica Johnson; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Luzeida 25 Branscomb; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, 26 and friends; therefore, be it 27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 28 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 29 mourn, along with his family and friends, the death of 30 Anthony Lockhart of the Chicago Fire Department; and be it 31 further -2- LRB9011718KBkbA 1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 2 presented to the family of Anthony Lockhart.
