1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Orland Park's St. Michael School's cheerleaders
3 won the 1998 State of Illinois Junior High Championship on
4 March 7 at Illinois State University sponsored by the
5 Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association; and
6 WHEREAS, Under the supervision and coaching of Becky
7 Weslow, St. Michael's cheerleaders have won many honors,
8 including St. Viator ICCA Regional Junior High Champions, St.
9 John Vianney Invitational Champions, St. Francis of Rome
10 Invitational Champions, CYO Chicagoland Catholic Champions,
11 St. Bede Invitational Champions, Northern Illinois University
12 Super State Junior High Champions, and Northern Illinois
13 University Super State Grand Champions; and
14 WHEREAS, The cheerleaders are: Aleksandra Augaitis, Angie
15 Bettinardi, Liz Carroll, Becky Clement, Michelle Fieldman,
16 Kristin Garlanger, Blythe Gorski, Danielle Heilman, Laura
17 Koszulinski, Rachel Koszulinski, Stephanie Mascio, Elizabeth
18 Mullins, Amy Pienta, Melissa Pomeroy, and Maureen Waters;
19 therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
22 congratulate St. Michael School's cheerleaders on winning the
23 State of Illinois Junior High Cheerleading Championship; that
24 we commend them for their sportsmanship and spirit; and that
25 we wish each of them continuing success and happiness; and be
26 it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Coach Becky Weslow.
