1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Kaskaskia College
4 Blue Devils basketball team on their successful season; and
5 WHEREAS, The Blue Devils were the Great Rivers Athletic
6 Conference Champions with a record of 12-2; they were Region
7 24 Conference Champions, District 4 Champions, and State of
8 Illinois NJCAA Champions; at the National Tournament held in
9 Hutchinson, Kansas, the Blue Devils ended in eighth place,
10 ranking at number twelve in the nation; their final record
11 for the season was thirty-three wins, five loses; and
12 WHEREAS, Head Coach Jeff Carling, Assistant Coaches Mike
13 Nall and Fred Harris, and the entire Kaskaskia College
14 student body are proud of the Blue Devils and their
15 accomplishments; and
16 WHEREAS, The Blue Devils team is made up of: Guard Trevor
17 Kell, Forward Erwin Meeks, Guard Corey Barrow, Guard/Forward
18 Errick Greene, Forward/Center Joe Thomas, Guard/Forward
19 Jeremy Anderson, Guard/Forward Sean Stackhouse,
20 Forward/Center Ben Houghland, Guard Roy King, Guard/Forward
21 Joe Semith, Guard Chuck Garrett, Forward Michael Clemons, and
22 Forward Jason Becker; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
25 congratulate the Blue Devils of Kaskaskia College on their
26 performance this season; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the Kaskaskia College Blue Devils.
