1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Oswego High School
4 Bowling Team on becoming State champions; and
5 WHEREAS, Under the tutelage of Coach Russ LaChance, the
6 Oswego Bowling Team set several State records; their total of
7 11666 for the two day State tournament beat the previous
8 record of 11583 points; the number one ranked Panthers also
9 set records as the second best title round series, 3051;
10 second best title round game, 1079; third best game overall,
11 1077; and fifth best tournament round series, 3006; and
12 WHEREAS, Katie Breedlove, Becky Carey, Christy
13 Constantine, Jessica Schmitz, and Kari Schwager went through
14 five tournament wins in Plainfield, Leyden, Lockport, the
15 Suburban Prairie Conference, and the West Aurora Sectional to
16 advance to the State tournament in Rockford; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 congratulate the Oswego Panthers Bowling Team on becoming
20 State champions; they have set an example of teamwork and
21 dedication to their fellow students and bowlers; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the Oswego Bowling Team and Coach Russ LaChance.
