1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the New Trier High
4 School Hockey Team on winning the Amateur Hockey Association
5 of Illinois Red Division state championship game; and
6 WHEREAS, Kevin Morgan of New Trier converted a perfect
7 pass from John Wilson into the championship game's only goal;
8 New Trier beat Mount Carmel with the winning goal and posted
9 a final record of 39-4-5; and
10 WHEREAS, The team is coached by Bob Melton; the assistant
11 coach is Michael Keefe; and the manager is Bill Hooe; and
12 WHEREAS, The team is made up of players Matthew Braasch,
13 Parker Burke, Peter Cecil, Dodge Daverman, Christopher
14 Heitmann, Christopher Hooe, Elliot Johnson, J. Edgar Kilen,
15 Brody Lemire, Charlie Lutz, Parker Millard, Chris Miller,
16 Kevin Morgan, Eddie Park, Jeffrey Parker, Andrew Patience,
17 Bobby Skalla, Michael Skalla, Scott Sortal, John Wilson, and
18 Gustaf Winberg; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate the New Trier Hockey Team on winning the
22 championship game; they have proven themselves a force to be
23 reckoned with, and have shown that a winning spirit makes
24 anything possible; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the New Trier Hockey Team, along with our
27 sincere congratulations on a job well done.
