1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Nan Greenough
3 was named Woman of the Year by the Winnetka Chamber of
4 Commerce; and
5 WHEREAS, Ms. Greenough is being honored for her tireless
6 efforts to preserve Winnetka's architectural heritage; and
7 WHEREAS, She is chairman of the Winnetka Landmarks
8 Preservation Commission and the commission's representative
9 to the Winnetka Plan Commission; and
10 WHEREAS, She is a volunteer at the Winnetka Historical
11 Society, initiated the Winnetka Preservation Awards, and
12 created "Colorful Winnetka, A Child's Tour of Winnetka
13 Architecture"; and
14 WHEREAS, She was also chairman of the Winnetka Antique
15 Show, a major fund raiser for the Winnetka Community House;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 wish to congratulate Nan Greenough on being named Woman of
20 the Year by the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce and extend to
21 her our heartiest best wishes for the future; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Nan Greenough.
