1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is a sacred trust;
3 when two people commit their lives to each other, it is
4 forever; and
5 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
6 Representatives wish to congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and
7 Doris Bong on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding
8 anniversary; and
9 WHEREAS, Ralph and Doris Bong were married on May 8, 1948
10 at Roseland Mission Church at 11032 Indiana Avenue; Doris was
11 born on May 4, 1918 and Ralph was born on November 4, 1919,
12 both in Chicago; Ralph's parents were both born in Chicago;
13 Doris' father was born in Sweden and her mother was born in
14 Chicago; and
15 WHEREAS, Ralph and Doris Bong are both active in their
16 church, Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church; they are the
17 parents of one son, Roger, and have one granddaughter, Amy;
18 therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate Ralph and Doris Bong on this special day; they
22 show us what true love is all about; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Ralph and Doris Bong.
