1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to honor Carol Fields for her service to
4 the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Carol Fields has served the Village of Mount
6 Prospect for twenty-four years, including nineteen years as
7 the village clerk; Carol Fields has served the community in
8 many ways, from organizing the Fourth of July Parade,
9 producing the village newsletter, serving as secretary to the
10 village firemen's pension board, and serving as secretary for
11 the Zoning Board of Appeals, to serving as a member on the
12 village's seventy-fifth anniversary committee; and
13 WHEREAS, Carol Fields advanced her career development as
14 a member of the Municipal Clerks of Illinois and the
15 International Institute of Municipal Clerks; and
16 WHEREAS, The Mount Prospect Village Manager has referred
17 to Carol Fields as "the village's unofficial goodwill
18 ambassador"; and
19 WHEREAS, Carol Fields will retire on June 12, 1998;
20 therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
23 commend Carol Fields, of Mount Prospect, Illinois, on her
24 years of hard work, her dedication, and her commitment to her
25 home; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to Carol Fields, along with our sincere gratitude
28 and fond wishes for her future.
