1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Margaret Crema is the head librarian at the
3 Mount Greenwood Branch of the Chicago Public Library; and
4 WHEREAS, Margaret Crema began with the Chicago Public
5 Library system in 1970 and has worked at the Back of the
6 Yards and Chicago Lawn branches, among others; and
7 WHEREAS, Margaret Crema was named Librarian of the Year
8 in 1997 by the Friends of the Chicago Public Library and has
9 been further recognized by the Chicago City Council for her
10 commitment to the community; and
11 WHEREAS, Margaret Crema is a friend, mentor, and teacher
12 to thousands of library patrons who come through the doors of
13 the Mount Greenwood Library where she has started a wide
14 array of programs to satisfy the diverse interests of the
15 community; and
16 WHEREAS, Margaret Crema discovered the world of books as
17 a child, later earned her Masters Degree in Library Science
18 from Rosary College (now Dominican University), and remains
19 committed to helping others pursue knowledge; therefore, be
20 it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 Margaret Crema be congratulated in her extraordinary
24 commitment to learning, libraries, and her community; and be
25 it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to Margaret Crema.
