1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincere sympathy to the
4 family of Carolyn Williams, of Springfield, Illinois, who
5 passed away on May 30, 1998; and
6 WHEREAS, Carolyn Williams was born on March 16, 1946; her
7 parents were Richard A. and Justine Banks Simmons Sr.; on
8 December 17, 1966, she married Allen E. Williams in
9 Springfield; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams was an assistant coordinator for
11 the Illinois Department of Corrections; she was a member of
12 Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Lilies of the Field, and the
13 Illinois Association of Minorities in Government; Mrs.
14 Williams also enjoyed gardening as a hobby; and
15 WHEREAS, Carolyn Williams is survived by her husband,
16 Allen; her sons, Bryon K. and Darin E. Williams; her
17 daughter, Kimberly J. Williams; two grandchildren; her
18 sisters, Linda K. Bradley and Jacquelyn E. Brown; and several
19 nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
22 mourn, along with her family and friends, the death of
23 Carolyn Williams of Springfield, Illinois; may they find
24 comfort and solace in this time of need; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Carolyn Williams.
