1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Dondi Maricle
6 will receive the 1998 American Library Trustee
7 Association/Gale Award at the national annual conference in
8 Washington, D.C., on June 27, 1998, for recognition of
9 outstanding services as a library trustee; and
10 WHEREAS, Ms. Maricle currently serves as president of the
11 Bourbonnais Public Library Board, on the Heritage Trail
12 Library Systems Board, on the Legislative and Trustee Forum
13 Committees of the Illinois Library Association, as treasurer
14 for Kankakee County Community Services Inc., and as secretary
15 for the Martin Luther King Foundation; and
16 WHEREAS, Dondi Maricle is indeed worthy of our highest
17 praise; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate Dondi Maricle for receiving the American Library
21 Trustee Association/Gale Award and take this opportunity to
22 extend our best wishes to her for the future; and be it
23 further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to her as a token of our respect and esteem.
