1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are honored to
3 recognize significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Carl Launhardt
6 of Collinsville is celebrating the 100th anniversary of his
7 birth this year; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Launhardt worked as a mail carrier, a
9 farmer, a dock worker, and a custodian; he taught Sunday
10 School and Bible classes for many years; he served in World
11 War I and served as commander of the American Legion; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Launhardt has three sons and two daughters;
13 he also has 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and
14 WHEREAS, He is a warm and friendly person, and his
15 dynamic personality endears him to all; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18 congratulate Mr. Carl Launhardt on the occasion of his 100th
19 birthday and extend to him our sincere best wishes for the
20 future; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Mr. Carl Launhardt with our respect and esteem.
