1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Drexel-Kenwood Mansion Community Unity
3 Breakfast will be held on Saturday, September 26, 1998; and
4 WHEREAS, Over 75 individuals representing local
5 blockclubs, churches, schools, universities, senior housing
6 facilities, and greening and tourism organizations have been
7 invited, along with local elected officials; and
8 WHEREAS, The purpose of the breakfast is to provide the
9 collaborative partners with details about new innovative
10 programs that have been developed to link greening, tourism,
11 and economic development; and
12 WHEREAS, These programs constructively engage
13 underprivileged and underserved families in the community
14 building process; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate the Drexel-Kenwood Mansion Community on the
18 success it has endured; and be it further
19 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to the Board of Directors of Drexel-Kenwood
21 Mansion.
