1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Reverend Arthur Burks on
4 his thirty-second year of ministry; and
5 WHEREAS, Pastor Burks is ministering at Chief Cornerstone
6 Missionary Baptist Church in Champaign, Illinois; and
7 WHEREAS, As he begins another year in the ministry, his
8 church will hold a celebration on Friday, October 23, 1998;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, Together with his church family, his friends,
11 and members of the community, a time of reflection and
12 memories will be held to celebrate Pastor Burks and his role
13 in the lives of so many people; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 congratulate Pastor Burks on thirty-two years of faithful
17 service to the ministry of Chief Cornerstone Missionary
18 Baptist Church in Champaign, Illinois; our wish is for his
19 continued good fortune and success in his future ministry;
20 and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Reverend Arthur Burks.
