1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Those individuals who handle the educational
3 needs of others are worthy of the highest respect and
4 admiration; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Ruth Hurley
6 retired as principal of Miller School in July of 1998 after
7 28 years of service to Westmont Unit School District 201; and
8 WHEREAS, Ms. Hurley began her career in the district as a
9 reading teacher and also was principal of South School; and
10 WHEREAS, A celebration in honor of Ms. Hurley's
11 retirement was held on Thursday, October 1, 1998; and
12 WHEREAS, She was loved and admired by the students and
13 faculty of Miller School and has earned the respect of all;
14 therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate Ruth Hurley on her retirement as principal of
18 Miller School and take this opportunity to wish her the best
19 in the future; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to her as an expression of our respect and esteem.
