1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are proud to congratulate Coach Bill Gleeson
4 on his retirement; and
5 WHEREAS, Coach Gleeson has served as the Head Football
6 Coach for Brother Rice High School from 1994 to 1998; from
7 1993 to 1998 he served as the Assistant Athletic Director of
8 Brother Rice; in 1994 he was the Head Coach of the Prep Bowl
9 Champs, and in 1995 he was Head Coach of the Catholic League
10 Champs; and
11 WHEREAS, Coach Gleeson is a 2 time Lawless Winner for
12 Catholic League Coach of the Year for football in 1994 and
13 track in 1992; Coach Gleeson has served as head Track Coach,
14 Freshman Basketball Coach, and as a Physical Education,
15 Swimming, and History Teacher for 15 years; and
16 WHEREAS, Coach Gleeson has a Master's Degree in Physical
17 Education from the University of Illinois, where he served as
18 a Graduate Assistant under Mike White; Bill Gleeson was named
19 Athlete of the Year at Benedictine College in 1979; and
20 WHEREAS, Coach Gleeson has been, and will continue to be,
21 an example to the students he has worked with throughout the
22 years; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
25 congratulate Coach Bill Gleeson on his retirement as Head
26 Football Coach at Brother Rice High School; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Coach Bill Gleeson.
