 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  wish  to  congratulate Henry Krippner on his
 4    retirement from the  Libertyville,  Mundelein,  Vernon  Hills
 5    Chamber of Commerce; and
 6        WHEREAS,   Henry   Krippner   served   the  Libertyville,
 7    Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce as  President/CEO
 8    from  1992  to the present and also served as a member of the
 9    Board of Directors from 1986 to 1992; and
10        WHEREAS, During his 6 years as President of  the  Chamber
11    of  Commerce, Mr. Krippner increased membership by nearly 100
12    percent, to 740 members, making the LMV Chamber  of  Commerce
13    the largest Chamber of Commerce in Lake County; and
14        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Krippner  worked most of his adult life in
15    Lake  County,  including  13  years  (1976-1989)  at  Condell
16    Medical Center, where he served as Director  of  Development,
17    Community Relations, and Public Relations; and
18        WHEREAS,  Mr. Krippner also contributed to Lake County by
19    serving on the Board of Directors of the YMCA, the Youth  and
20    Family  Counseling  Agency, the Lions of Illinois, MainStreet
21    Libertyville, MainStreet Mundelein, the Lake County  Economic
22    Development  Commission,  the Lake County Illinois Convention
23    and Visitors Bureau, and the Rotary Club; and
24        WHEREAS, Mr. Krippner also donated his time as the  State
25    Chair of the Lions of Illinois Eyebank/Donor Registry, and as
26    President of the Libertyville Lions Club; Mr. Krippner served
27    as  a Deputy for the Lake County Sheriff's Marine Unit for 14
28    years, from 1982 to 1996; Mr. Krippner also worked with  Lake
29    County   Coroner   Barbara   Richardson  to  encourage  local
30    communities   to   enact   ordinances   requiring    parental
31    responsibility  to ensure that children do not have access to

 1    guns; and
 2        WHEREAS, Mr. Krippner assisted area youth  as  a  referee
 3    for ice hockey for more than 20 years; and
 4        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Krippner is retiring on December 15, 1998,
 5    and will move with his wife,  Mary  Ellen,  to  Aiken,  South
 6    Carolina; therefore, be it
 7        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
 8    NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that  we
 9    thank Henry Krippner for a job well done; we hope that he has
10    a  healthy  and happy future as he enjoys his retirement; and
11    be it further
12        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
13    presented to Henry Krippner.
