90_HR0709 LRB9013731CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are proud to recognize 3 the dedication and contributions of its members; and 4 WHEREAS, Judy Biggert was elected to the House of 5 Representatives in 1992; and 6 WHEREAS, State Representative Judy Biggert championed 7 many causes while serving in the General Assembly; she served 8 on the Committees on Appropriations-Human Services, Judiciary 9 I-Civil Law, Labor and Commerce, and the Special Committee on 10 Conflict of Interest; and 11 WHEREAS, State Representative Judy Biggert served as 12 Assistant Minority Leader of the House of Representatives; 13 and 14 WHEREAS, She has been affiliated with several 15 organizations, including the Village of Hinsdale Plan 16 Commission, the Steering Committee for Citizens for Property 17 Tax Accountability, the Visiting Nurses Association of 18 Chicago, the Board of Directors of the Salt Creek Ballet, the 19 Board of Governors of the Illinois Lincoln Series, the Junior 20 League of Chicago, and the Board of Education for Hinsdale 21 Township; and 22 WHEREAS, Representative Biggert has been supported 23 throughout her career by her husband, Rody, and four 24 children; and 25 WHEREAS, State Representative Judy Biggert was elected to 26 the United States House of Representatives to serve the 13th 27 Congressional District on November 3, 1998; and 28 WHEREAS, Representative Biggert has been an effective 29 spokesperson for her district and Illinois, winning the 30 respect of her colleagues on both sides of the aisle; -2- LRB9013731CBcb 1 therefore, be it 2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 3 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 4 hereby express our appreciation and gratitude to State 5 Representative Judy Biggert for her dedication and 6 enthusiastic participation while serving in the General 7 Assembly; and be it further 8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 9 presented to State Representative Judy Biggert as an 10 expression of our respect and esteem.
