90_HR0710 LRB9013732CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are proud to recognize 3 the dedication and contributions of its members; and 4 WHEREAS, State Representative Corinne Wood has been 5 ardently committed to public service and has served the 6 citizens of the 59th District and the State of Illinois in an 7 exemplary fashion during her tenure in the House of 8 Representatives; and 9 WHEREAS, She has served on the Committees on Aging, 10 Appropriations-Education, Financial Institutions, Labor and 11 Commerce, and the Legislative Research Unit; and 12 WHEREAS, Representative Wood has been supported 13 throughout her public and private life by her husband, Paul, 14 and her children, Ashley, Brandon, and Courtney; and 15 WHEREAS, She has been affiliated with several 16 organizations, including the League of Women Voters of Lake 17 Forest, the Lake Forest Open Lands Association, the Junior 18 League of Chicago, the First Presbyterian Church of Lake 19 Forest, and Cub Scout Den 43; and 20 WHEREAS, She has been the City of Lake Forest Plan 21 Commissioner and Senior Housing Commissioner and is a former 22 President of the Lake County Republican Federation; former 23 President of the Women's Republican Club of Lake Forest/Lake 24 Bluff; former Republican Precinct Co-Captain; and a member of 25 the American, Illinois, Chicago, and Lake County Bar 26 Associations; and 27 WHEREAS, State Representative Corinne Wood was elected 28 the first woman Lieutenant Governor of Illinois on November 29 3, 1998; therefore, be it 30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE -2- LRB9013732CBcb 1 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 2 hereby express our appreciation and gratitude for State 3 Representative Corinne Wood's dedication and hard work while 4 serving in the General Assembly and extend to her our best 5 wishes for the future; and be it further 6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 7 presented to State Representative Corinne Wood as an 8 expression of our respect and esteem.
