1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Denysia Bastas
3 is retiring from State service after more than 45 years; and
4 WHEREAS, She began her career in 1953 and has worked
5 tirelessly, helping those in need and the taxpayers; and
6 WHEREAS, She moved to the Illinois Senate, where she
7 assisted some of the State's most distinguished legislators;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, She has been a faithful and devoted assistant to
10 Lieutenant Governor Bob Kustra since 1991; and
11 WHEREAS, Denysia Bastas has gained the respect and
12 admiration of all who have grown to know her; therefore, be
13 it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 congratulate Denysia Bastas as she retires from State service
17 and wish her the best of luck in the future; and be it
18 further
19 RESOLVED, That we proclaim December 3, 1998 as Denysia
20 Bastas Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Denysia Bastas as an expression of our esteem.
