1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Representative Peter
4 Roskam on his retirement from the House; and
5 WHEREAS, Representative Roskam is from the 40th District
6 and is a resident of Winfield, Illinois; he and his wife,
7 Elizabeth, have four children: Gracey, Frankie, Stephen, and
8 A.J.; and
9 WHEREAS, Representative Roskam has a Bachelor of Arts
10 degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois,
11 and his Juris Doctor from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, Representative Roskam is an attorney with the
14 firm of Salvi and Roskam; he is Executive Director of
15 Educational Assistance, Ltd.; he is a legislative assistant
16 to Congressman Henry Hyde and Congressman Tom De Lay; and
17 WHEREAS, While serving with the Illinois House,
18 Representative Roskam was a member of the following key
19 committees: Appropriations-General Services and Government
20 Oversight, Children and Youth, Labor and Commerce, and Prison
21 Management Reform; he also served as Spokesman for the
22 Judiciary II-Criminal Committee; and
23 WHEREAS, We wish Representative Peter Roskam the best as
24 he moves on into the future; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
27 congratulate Representative Roskam on a job well done; and be
28 it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to Representative Peter Roskam, along with our
