90_HR0729 LRB9013807KBkb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives wish to say farewell to Representative N. 4 Duane Noland of the 102nd District; and 5 WHEREAS, Representative Noland is moving on to the 6 Illinois Senate; and 7 WHEREAS, Representative Noland was elected to the House 8 of Representatives in 1990; he is a resident of Blue Mound, 9 Illinois; he is married to Tina, and they have three 10 children, Grant, Blake, and Bridgette; and 11 WHEREAS, Representative Noland has a Bachelor of Science 12 degree in Agriculture Economics and Education from the 13 University of Illinois; and 14 WHEREAS, He is a youth baseball and basketball coach; he 15 is the director of the Lincoln Trails Council of the Boy 16 Scouts of America; he is the former director of the Illinois 17 Farm Bureau and the Illinois Corn Growers Association; 18 Representative Noland is a member of the Tabernacle Baptist 19 Church; and 20 WHEREAS, Representative Noland previously worked as 21 Agribusiness Officer for Illinois National Bank in 22 Springfield, and currently serves as the Vice President of 23 Noland Farms, Inc.; and 24 WHEREAS, Representative Noland has received the 25 Outstanding Legislator Award from the Illinois Association of 26 Illinois Electric Co-ops, the Illinois Dietetic Association, 27 and the Illinois Soybean Association; he was named 28 Outstanding Young Farmer by the Jaycees; he was named 29 Outstanding Young Leader by the American Soybean Association; 30 and received the McCloy Agricultural Fellowship for 31 International Study; and -2- LRB9013807KBkb 1 WHEREAS, Representative Noland served as Spokesman for 2 the Agriculture and Conservation Committee, as well as being 3 seated on the following key committees: the 4 Appropriations-Public Safety Committee, the Insurance 5 Committee, and the Registration and Regulation Committee; and 6 WHEREAS, We wish Representative Noland well in his future 7 endeavors; therefore, be it 8 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 9 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 10 congratulate Representative Duane Noland on his new seat in 11 the Illinois Senate; and be it further 12 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 13 presented to Representative Duane Noland, along with our 14 sincere regards.
