1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Michael J. Brown, 63rd District State
3 Representative, has served the members of the House of
4 Representatives and the citizens of his district in an
5 exemplary fashion during his tenure; and
6 WHEREAS, He completed a successful term in the
7 legislature after being appointed to replace Representative
8 Ann Hughes; and
9 WHEREAS, He has served on the staffs of other
10 legislators, including Senator Jack Schaffer, Representative
11 Ron Wait, and Senator John Friedland; and
12 WHEREAS, He serves as a member of the McHenry County
13 Board, the Illinois State Property Tax Appeal Board, the
14 McHenry County Planning Commission, and as Nunda Township
15 Assessor; and
16 WHEREAS, He passed legislative initiatives to rework the
17 State's juvenile crime policy and authored and passed
18 legislation making railroad crossings safer in Illinois; and
19 WHEREAS, Representative Brown has been a member of the
20 Committees on Environment & Energy, Health Care Availability
21 and Access, Insurance, and Registration and Regulation; and
22 WHEREAS, Representative Brown has been supported
23 throughout his public and private life by his wife, Carolyn,
24 and his children, Christopher, Heather, Joseph, Suzanne, and
25 Cathy; and
26 WHEREAS, Representative Brown's dedication to the highest
27 ideals and standards of his profession and political party
28 exemplify the goals of representative democracy; therefore,
29 be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
2 express our heartiest congratulations and best wishes for
3 continued success and that we commend Representative Brown on
4 his service in the Illinois House of Representatives; and be
5 it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to him as an expression of our esteem.
